These traditional copper water pots are used for various Hindu religious ceremonies. It is filled with holy water and flowers or a leaf if placed in it. It is placed next to the god or goddess as a representation of one of the earth elements. After the ceremony the water in it will be sprayed with the help of flowers or a leaf throughout the house as well as offered to the attendee. It is believed that spraying these holy waters will get rid of evil spirits

**Please be aware that with prolonged contact with water and air these copper dishes may lose  its shine. However, you will be able to bring back the shine by washing it with a mixture of salt, lemon and washing up liquid. This item should be hand washed with a medium grade dish sponge and is not suitable for dishwasher cleaning.
